Stoke Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director, Field Medical Affairs to provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of US based Regional Medical Directors. About Stoke:
Stoke Therapeutics (Nasdaq: STOK) is a biotechnology company dedicated to restoring protein expression by harnessing the body’s potential with RNA medicine. Stoke is developing antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) to selectively restore naturally occurring protein levels. Stoke’s first medicine in development, zorevunersen, has demonstrated the potential for disease modification in patients with Dravet syndrome and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 study. Stoke entered into a strategic collaboration with Biogen in 2025 to develop and commercialize zorevunersen for Dravet syndrome. Position Purpose:
The Executive Director will provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of US based Regional Medical Directors to establish collaborative and scientific engagement with clinical experts to help advance our medicines for patients. Leads and oversees ongoing development of a team of rare disease US Regional Medical Director team that helps advance engagement with Stoke and external credibility of our science. Responsible for overall day-to-day support of all operational and leadership aspects of the RMD team including onboarding, goal setting, coaching and ongoing development of team and individual talent. Work closely with clinical operations and development teams to build and foster collaborative research relationships with academic and community KOLs in support of Stoke clinical studies. Develop and maintain credible, scientific relationships with academic and medical thought leaders. Develop, share, and discuss ongoing clinical insights with program team and cross-functional members to ensure awareness and understanding of key opinion leader perspectives to inform and guide strategic decision-making. Collaborate closely with Sr Director of KoL Engagement and other functions including clinical, commercial and PR/IR/Advocacy to engage and support external stakeholder needs through activities such as scientific education, advisory boards, investigator meetings, publications, congresses, and other activities of interest. Ensure appropriate policies and monitoring are in place to ensure appropriate and compliant team activities. Ability to travel 50%+, including the ability to travel overnight, internationally, and occasionally on weekends. Required Skills & Experience: Advanced scientific or clinical degree, with at least 10+ years in relevant clinical/scientific fields and 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience, with significant focus on field medical activities. Experience with prelaunch and rare diseases in epilepsy, neurology highly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills in leading and mentoring others. Good judgment, ability to adapt and change in a shifting environment. A strategic, passionate, self-starter who takes initiative. Ability to work independently and function effectively as a team member. Excellent problem-solving skills. Location:
Stoke is located in Bedford, MA. This position may be a remote or hybrid position with an office setting based in Bedford, MA location. Travel:
