About This Job The AVP, Operations and Special Projects leads strategic initiatives and operational improvements within the Commercial Lending Operations division. This role suits a strategic thinker with a passion for cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence, and delivering measurable impact through project execution. Responsibilities: Perform assigned operational assessments to identify improvement opportunities, quantify projected impact, launch and implement projects and/or solutions Identify and quantify baseline performance, projected benefits, and actual results using data and metrics Work with Business process, IT & Operational leadership to support the delivery of specified strategic initiatives Planning, execution, and delivery, adhering to timelines and goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to optimize project efficiency Work closely with all Commercial Lending Operations teams to help implement, execute, research, and backfill all commercial lending operations strategies Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project outcomes Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and communication among all team members Support administrative functions including strategic initiatives, analysis, and report creation, etc. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, project management, or business process improvement Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results on time and within scope Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics and data-driven decision-making Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in commercial lending or financial services is preferred Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools Experience working in a regulated environment or with compliance-driven processes Axos Employee Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Paid Sick Leave, 3 weeks’ Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year) HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings Plan Employee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed Trading About Axos Born digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
