Milk Laboratory Technician - Clinical Nutrition
Responsibilities include reconstitution and fortification of specialized formula, centrifugation and analysis of human milk lipid concentration and caloric density, human milk pasteurization, human milk and formula delivery, medical food and product inventory management, and the use of electronic health record and milk management software. Communicate with nursing, Registered Dietitians, medical providers, Dietetic Technicians, and Lactation Consultants. Safely clean and operate biomedical preparation and production equipment. Follow Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point safety regulations and infection control policies. Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff according to hospital and department expectations. Promote responsible and efficient use of resources, including human milk, and advocate for breast milk management that minimizes waste. Contribute to development and updating of standard work and provide peer-to-peer feedback to ensure compliance. Maintain professionalism and problem solving skills to ensure accurate electronic health record entries, adequate feeding supplies, timely production schedules, and appropriate progression of feeding outcomes.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience : Associate Degree required OR one of the following credentials may substitute: Dietetic Technician Registered, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Certified Medical Assistant.
Required Credentials : N/A.
Preferred : Demonstrated prior quality improvement experience in a healthcare position. Pediatric or previous hospital experience.
Compensation $24.77 - $37.16 per hour
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
