Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford's 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's best battery manufacturer.

The Production Control Planner at BlueOval SK - BlueOval Battery Park in Glendale, Kentucky will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence)

Utilize the Enterprise Resource System (ERP) Inventory Management System to manage inventory elements (receiving, shipping, supplier/customer communication)

Daily follow-up and distribution follow up on VO shipments

Support final balance outs and running changes to customers

Manage change control functions to support quality and manufacturing capacity standards ('Trials, PPAP, PSW, etc.)

Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule

Coordinate shipments to and from local supplies / warehouses

Correct shipping transactions, monitor and validate production counts and scrap transactions

Provide MP&L team with daily line-ups

Perform cycle count analysis and control inventory cycle entry

Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records

Assist with plant cycle schedule and count confirmation.

Respond to VO/PTO schedule changes, react/plan around quality, shipping, and schedule of supply chain

Assist in managing bailment activities if necessary

Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required in order to cover vacations, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience (2 - 5 years):

Material Planning and Logistics experience desired

Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistics carriers, and production suppliers

Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.)

Experience in Common Manufacturing Management System (CMMS) or similar ERP

Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern

Ability to work independently with limited supervision

React well under pressure and be able to work under crisis management

Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability

Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering

Experience:

Plant experience is desired but not required

Knowledge of Ford Production System (lean manufacturing) is desired, but not necessary
