Job Summary

B&A is looking for an PeopleSoft Developer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking an experienced

PeopleSoft Developer

to design, develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft applications in support of enterprise business operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PeopleSoft tools and technologies, including

PeopleTools, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, Component Interface, and SQR , as well as strong knowledge of HRMS, Financials, or Campus Solutions modules. This role requires a problem-solver who can work closely with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy customizations, enhancements, and integrations within PeopleSoft applications.

Work with business analysts and functional teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, SQR reports, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker services.

Support upgrades, patches, and fixes, ensuring system stability and compliance with best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Develop technical design documents and maintain accurate system documentation.

Optimize application performance through tuning and efficient coding practices.

Ensure security, compliance, and proper data handling across all PeopleSoft applications.

Collaborate with database administrators, system administrators, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Provide production support and participate in on-call rotation as required.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of progressive experience developing and supporting PeopleSoft applications.

Required Skills Strong hands-on expertise with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, BI Publisher, and Integration Broker.

Experience with one or more PeopleSoft modules such as HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions.

Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases (Oracle preferred).

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

Familiarity with PeopleSoft upgrade methodologies, PUM images, and change management tools (e.g., Phire, Stat).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desired Skills Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5x.

Knowledge of fluid UI, mobile integration, and web services (REST/SOAP).

Exposure to cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments (AWS, Oracle Cloud).

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Prior experience in government, higher education, or financial services environments.
