Group/Division
The Global Operations (GOPS) team comprises Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality. GOPS partners with our worldwide supply base and design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The team aims to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.
Job Description / Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Strategic supplier selection followed by contract and cost negotiations.
Work closely with design engineers and scientists to understand sourcing requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
Scope out potential candidate suppliers in coordination with Category managers and Engineering.
Develop RFQ/P processes with suppliers, create scorecards, and present to executives to drive decisions.
Assess supplier cost, quality, capability, capacity, and financials to select suppliers.
Negotiate supplier contracts such as Development or Purchase Agreements; assist Engineering with drafting of Statements of Work for development projects.
Coordinate competitive bidding with alternate suppliers to lead cost negotiations.
Maintain and grow relationships with strategic suppliers and disengage underperforming suppliers.
Support project management activities like ramping supplier capacity from proto to volume production and handle late-delivery escalations.
Leverage strategic supplier influence to support Engineers and Operations on quality or supplier development efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a technical engineering field (mechanical/electrical/electronics/industrial engineering, physics, or material science).
Strategic sourcing experience in Semiconductor Capital Equipment, Aerospace/Defense, or Medical equipment industries.
Experience in strategic sourcing of high-precision mechatronics systems, high vacuum, sensors/cameras, computer systems, PCBA and power supply.
Working experience with electron beam technology and/or supply chain is strongly preferred.
Certifications such as PMP/CSCP/CPSM, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate degree with 3 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 6 years; Bachelor's degree with 8 years.
Experience with Supply Chain Management in any industry or within Semiconductor Capital Equipment.
Technical (engineering/science/technology) and commercial aptitudes is required.
Strong willingness to continuously learn.
Domestic and international travel up to 20% is required.
Compensation and Location
Base Pay Range: $126,400.00 - $214,900.00 Annually
Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
