Anesthesiologist opening on care team model at Baptist Memorial Hospital of Memphis in Memphis, TN–birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll Baptist Memorial Health Care’s 80-acre East Memphis, TN, campus features the flagship hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, one of the highest-volume medical centers in Tennessee. We provide anesthesia services to three acute care hospitals in the same vicinity—Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, and Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital—as well as several ambulatory surgery centers. General, pediatric, ENT, ortho, plastic, OB/GYN, transplants and complex cardiac Shifts
Per Diem position. Team
Our practice consists of 25+ physicians, including two fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists, and 70+ CRNAs who work together in a care team model. Requirements
Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Qualifications
M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician Lifestyle
