Director, Institutional Research ( Req.2291)

Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time Director of Institutional Research. Reporting to the University President, the principal duties of the Director for Institutional Research include evaluating institutional effectiveness through the collection, analysis, communication, and reporting of data to inform strategic planning, budgeting, assessment, accreditation, and compliance across the University. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Overseeing the required annual reporting and submission of official university data files and information to federal, state, accreditation and other agencies, including SURE, IPEDS, MSCHE, NC-SARA, NCES, AICUNJ, NIH, CGS. Completing the Common Data Set and the other information required for surveys and rankings, including US News and World Report, College Board, Peterson’s, ACT, and others. Creating and maintaining dashboards to assist in university-wide decision-making. Supervising the Research Analyst and any student workers or interns. Overseeing assessment processes and procedures while ensuring alignment with current Middle States Standards. Managing campus calendars for assessment, surveys, external audit, and accreditation reporting. Coordinating predictive analytics projects, including enrollment and retention modeling. Coordinating the annual assessment of the strategic plan and department goals. Coordinating institutional and mission assessment activities, including the collection of annual department reports. Providing ad hoc research, data, and analysis to support strategic initiatives, program-level accreditations, grant proposals, and programmatic and departmental reviews. Coordinating campus surveys, including the administration of benchmarked third-party surveys, such as BCSSE, NSSE/FSSE, and climate surveys, among others. Preparing analysis and communicating results to campus stakeholders for decision-making and planning. Collaborating with the Director of Academic Assessment on various tasks related to academic assessment. Providing technical assistance to staff on survey design and administration. Job Qualifications

A master’s degree plus two to three years of effective experience is required. Must have a strong database, data management, and research background, be familiar with statistical software packages, survey administration, and relational databases, and proficient in using Microsoft Office applications. Must possess strong programming skills for Institutional Research purposes. Knowledge of SQL is preferred. Institution Description
