Workforce Planning Data Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Workforce Planning Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate is an analyst with a strategic mindset who can transform complex data into actionable insights and compelling narratives. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can work with minimal direction, and possesses a strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Your impact includes: Data Analysis & Storytelling: Conduct deep-dive analyses on workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Translate complex data into clear, concise, and compelling narratives that can be easily understood by executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders. Forecasting & Predictive Analytics: Collaborate with business partners, IT, finance, and talent acquisition to develop accurate headcount forecasts and predictive models. Utilize data to anticipate future talent needs and potential outcomes. Strategic Problem-Solving: Work with a high degree of autonomy to define what data and analysis are needed to solve complex business problems. Create impactful analyses and models "out of nothing," leveraging a variety of data sources to inform strategic decisions with a sense of urgency. Organizational Design & Optimization: Dive deeper into workforce data to provide insights that support organizational design, spans of control, and location strategies. Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key partner to various departments, including business leaders, IT, Finance, and Talent Acquisition. Build strong relationships to ensure data-driven insights are aligned with organizational goals. Talent Intelligence: Research and evaluate the potential of talent intelligence tools and methodologies to improve long-term hiring decisions and workforce planning. Key responsibilities include: WFP process: Work closely with the WFP team to facilitate the execution of the annual workforce planning process across a wide range of stakeholders for a 16,000+ people org; Work with Analytics & Finance team to build the capability to have multi-year workforce projections in alignment with the company's strategic initiatives and goals. Workforce Analytics, Reporting & Storytelling: Collaborate with the Analytics and Tech team to oversee workforce dashboards and reporting tools to track key metrics and inform decision-making; Lead on data visualization and storytelling to build a compelling narrative that can be easily understood by executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders. Identify and Mitigate Workforce Risks: Proactively identify and address talent risks, such as shortages or attrition, skill gaps, etc. and propose strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring organizational resilience. Contribute to Workforce & Talent Strategy: Support the evolution of our workforce strategy by providing internal as well as external insights on workforce capacity, capability & configuration. This will include but not be limited to insights on location strategy, organization design, talent pipeline & mobility, talent development, etc. Cross-Functional Partnership: Serve as a key partner to various departments, including business leaders, IT, Finance, and Talent Acquisition. Build strong relationships to ensure data-driven insights are aligned with organizational goals. Navigate complex organizational structures and competing priorities to ensure successful execution of key initiatives. Continuous improvement and Innovation: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in how workforce planning is undertaken and consumed by the business. Define scalable solutions that drive efficiency and allow for rapid response to evolving business needs. Your experience should include: Proven experience as a data analyst, preferably in a workforce planning, HR analytics, or business intelligence role. 6+ years of experience working as a data analyst, or similar role. 6+ years of experience working in Workforce Planning, Recruiting Analytics or similar function. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for explaining complex data to diverse audiences. Strong proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or statistical software. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus. A self-starter who can take initiative, identify needs, and create solutions in an ambiguous environment. A natural collaborator with a demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships across multiple business functions.
