Position Specific Description

We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst Intern to support our Salesforce platform initiatives, exposure to building workflows, and cross-functional project delivery. This role provides hands-on experience in business analysis, agile methodologies, and Salesforce platform development within the energy sector. This internship provides excellent exposure to enterprise Salesforce implementations while developing critical business analysis skills in a dynamic energy sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis Support

Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders

Shadow senior analysts during stakeholder meetings and requirements sessions

Support creation of process documentation and workflow diagrams

Help maintain requirements traceability matrices

Agile Project Support

Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings

Assist in story writing and acceptance criteria development under mentorship

Support JIRA ticket management and Confluence documentation updates

Learn agile methodologies through hands-on sprint participation

Salesforce Platform Exposure

Gain familiarity with Salesforce architecture, workflows, and reporting capabilities

Assist in data cleanup activities and report generation

Support user acceptance testing across multiple environments

Learn about agreement workflows, GIS integration, and contact management features

Testing & Quality Assurance

Participate in testing activities across development, QA, and UAT environments

Document test results and support bug triage processes

Assist with user training material development and testing documentation

Professional Development

Attend cross-functional team meetings to understand business context

Learn about utility industry processes and land resource management

Develop presentation skills through project status updates

Build technical writing skills through documentation assignments

Preferred Qualifications

Basic understanding of database concepts or SQL

Exposure to project management tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Interest in business process improvement

Previous internship or coursework in business analysis or IT

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Assists department with assigned projects

Completes challenging projects and assignments

Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship

Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High school grad / GED

Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program

Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
