Signal Software Engineer 2 (TS/SCI with FS Polygraph)
Location: Columbia, MD
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (Ft. Meade Customer)
Salary: Base pay range $100,000.00/hr - $140,000.00/hr. Salary range may be adjusted based on experience; sign-on bonus eligible up to $15,000.

What You’ll Do
Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance specs.
Design and code new software, or modify existing systems to enhance functionality.
Debug and troubleshoot to identify and correct defects in current software systems.
Develop and implement signal processing algorithms, optimizing performance while adhering to system constraints.
Integrate software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Provide recommendations for enhancing software development processes and documentation.
Lead software development teams, ensuring adherence to project timelines and standards.
Collaborate with system engineers to design, document, and test software solutions.
Maintain and troubleshoot RF processing systems and address issues in the system’s architecture.
Perform quality control on software products and identify areas for process improvement.
What You Bring to the Table
7+ years of experience as a Signals Software Engineer (SSWE), focusing on RF systems.
Expertise in Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, and error control coding.
Proficiency in signal analysis tools (e.g., WVT, DVT) and signal processing techniques (adaptive beamforming, filtering, demodulation).
Hands-on experience with software-defined radio architecture (e.g., SCA, REDHAWK, GNU).
Knowledge of commercial wireless standards, geolocation techniques, and software configuration management tools (e.g., GIT, ClearQuest, Trac, Subversion).
Advanced proficiency with Linux and development tools like Python, Eclipse IDE, and Google Protocol Buffer.
Familiarity with model-based design tools such as MATLAB and Simulink and SOA principles.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (required).
7+ years of relevant SSWE experience or equivalent.
Four (4) additional years of SSWE experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
