Responsibilities
Access Control Package Screening (X-Ray Machine) Personnel screening (Hand Wands / Magnetometers) Traffic Control Visitor processing Vehicle inspection Communications and dispatching Patrol Operations Emergency and event response correctly attired in uniform, equipment, and grooming. Qualifications
Must be a United States Citizen Minimum of 1 year of experience in law enforcement, or security, or a combination of both Possess a high school diploma or equivalency; however, collegiate academic course work or an AA/AS degree is preferred Current SPO (Armed) license issued by the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB) Pass suitability determination SPO shall carry a current 9mm Caliber Semiautomatic Pistol, “Qualified” card signed and dated by a certified firearms instructor Certified to carry and shall carry Pepper Spray (Oleoresin Capsicum) Possess a current “CPR/First Aid” card issued by the American Red Cross or equivalent Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills BTI Security is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment.
