We are looking for a talented AVP, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team of developers in test and work on next-generation application software to enhance our engineering best practices, tools, design patterns, and frameworks. Job Overview: The successful candidate will develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security, focusing on AWS, SQL, and financial commission systems. Responsibilities:

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. Perform database testing to validate data integrity and accuracy. Collaborate with product, engineering, and other domain teams to understand features, develop, and automate test cases, improve product quality and shorten release time from dev to production. Hands-on experience with Oracle Application Testing Suite & compensation SAS applications. Using different software testing methodologies to deliver quality software. Coordinating and driving E2E testing with cross-domains. Hands-on knowledge in any of the cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc. Being able to identify the manual processes and solve through automation. Working with software engineers to understand product architecture and features. Participate in code reviews to advocate and improve code quality and coding standards. Create and maintain data scenarios to support test plans and test cases. Analyzing test results, being a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process. Documenting and track bugs to closure. Working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software. Mentoring team and individuals on best automation practices, design, and implementation. Documenting and maintaining respective processes. Strategic Quality Leadership, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Mentorship & Technical Enablement, Governance & Process Ownership. Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science or similar, plus 6+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree, Computer Science or similar, plus 5+ years of experience working as a Developer or QA Engineer or SDET working in Agile scrum teams. Solid experience in Oracle, SQL Server, PLSQL, and ability to understand/write complex SQL queries. Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, utilizing tools like Selenium, Python, Java, or similar. Minimum of 5+ years of Hands-on programming/development experience in one of the programming languages: Python, Java, and automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, etc. Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and security. Hands-on experience with test processes, test methodologies, test strategy, test plan, and test case design & execution. Technical Competencies:

Excellent SQL knowledge with the ability to write complex queries for validation as well as review stored procedures for verification. Experience ensures data accuracy and integrity during the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, validating data flows, identifying discrepancies, and verifying data quality across systems, often using SQL and other relevant tools. Experience creating strategies to cover vendor integrations. Excellent communication skills are both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment where resourcefulness, determination, and strong problem-solving skills are necessary for success. Positive attitude and ability to take ownership on releases/ features / stories / tasks to deliver with quality. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with AWS services like S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and exposure to Bedrock model integration or experience with other cloud vendors. AI Tools / Models / Training Data Set exposure is a plus for adoption in testing methodologies. Hands-on experience analyzing data, comparing with mapping documents, and debugging to identify the root cause. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; Snowflake and Data Lake. Hands-on experience Testing and Automation development for Batch Jobs, Data Feeds, API / Web services / Swagger. Experience with test frameworks like Junit, TestNG; Code Versioning tools like GIT. Experience with CI/CD with TeamCity/Octopus/Jenkins; GitHub Co-pilot. Experience with Jira or similar Agile process tools. Preferences:

Innovation in Automation & Cloud Testing: Champion automation of manual processes and integration of AI tools/models into testing strategies, leveraging AWS services (S3, RDS, Lambda) and modern data platforms (Snowflake, Data Lake). Strategic Quality Leadership: Drive the adoption of advanced testing methodologies and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG) to elevate product quality and accelerate release cycles across financial commission systems and cloud platforms like AWS. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead coordination of end-to-end testing efforts across product, engineering, and domain teams, ensuring alignment on feature validation, data integrity, and performance goals. Mentorship & Technical Enablement: Mentor SDET teams on best practices in automation design, cloud-native testing, and data validation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Governance & Process Ownership: Spearhead initiatives to modernize legacy commission platforms, enforce coding standards through code reviews, and ensure robust documentation and traceability. Proficient in API and UI testing and creating automation test suites. Cloud certifications (s) are a plus. AI exposure is a plus for adoption in testing methodologies. Financial Industry experience. Additional Skills:

Varicent/Pega Compensation Management. Varicent Data Store, webforms, workflow. AWS S3, Lambda, PostgreSQL, Connectors, and Glue jobs. Pay Range: $113,700-$189,500/year. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
