Overview

Electrical Engineer/Designer, Distribution - Seattle, WA. Join DEA to contribute to utility-scale distribution projects in the Pacific Northwest with a hybrid-friendly work arrangement. Responsibilities

Exemplify DEA’s Cultural Drivers internally and externally Engineer projects to maintain and support electrical utility systems by designing and creating detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for distribution systems Collaborate with team members in an open communication culture, providing cross-disciplinary support as needed Perform electrical system modeling and analysis; prepare written reports related to analyses Ensure designed electrical facilities meet NEC, NESC, RUS and specific utility standards Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams Develop project understanding, approach, and work plan Manage communications among the project team and client Maintain the technical quality of the work and implement the project QA/QC plan Some travel for project execution may be required Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in civil/electrical engineering or construction management (or closely related field) OR 5+ years of applicable electric utility industry experience Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction Proficient with Microsoft Office Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Strong leadership, written and oral communication, and organizational skills Ability to make decisions with guidance in accordance with established policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications

Professional Engineer license (PE) 5+ years of experience in distribution line design Competency in SPIDA Calc, Pole Foreman, O-Calc or similar design programs Familiarity with RUS specifications, NESC and NEC regulations, easements, permit processes, and electrical system modeling Knowledge of industry technology and terminology Benefits

$83,200 – $124,800. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location. About DEA’s Energy Business Unit

Our Energy Business Unit partners with utility and transportation clients, developers, and contractors to provide power delivery and renewable energy infrastructure solutions.
