A Staff Building Mechanical Designer will perform various phases of planning, analytical designs, specifications, and preparation of proposal and construction documentation and mechanical plans as part of a project team. This position will work on various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients. Perform a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, incorporating various system components, and refining rough sketches. Follow all company, client and project design and drafting standards. Produce complete PFDs and P&IDs from verbal or written description from the design engineer. Execute basic formulas, principles and practices, and use acquired knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices pertaining to the mechanical discipline. Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Execute a variety of mechanical design assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and refining rough sketches. Execute changes to designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects. Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects. Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements. Review design drawings for quality assurance within scope, budget and schedule. Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines. Compute calculations for layouts, equipment, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Ensure project drawings, plot files, and related information are stored in a logical and well-structured manner. Maintain clear and concise written and verbal communication, especially related to client coordination. Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with all policies and standards. Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in drafting technology or related field with 7 years related experience. Associate Degree with 8 years related experience. 9 years progressive detailing and design experience. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Excel, with ability to learn new software. Advanced skills in 2D and 3D applications for engineering drawings. Deep knowledge of design, calculations, and systems. Ability to collaborate with project teams and communicate effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Preferred Skills

Advanced understanding of Revit and Navisworks software. Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, disability, time off, wellness programs, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and 401(k). Additional Information
