Overview
Implements Partnership HealthPlan of California communications strategies through impactful member engagement, digital engagement, media relations, legislative affairs, community relations, branding, and communications with Partnership's stakeholders. Responsibilities
Leads the implementation of communications, public affairs, and community relations programs in Partnership’s Northern and Southern regions. Oversees the implementation of Partnership’s brand. Oversees the development of Partnership outreach campaigns including content development, design, proofreading, procurement, and printing. Manages the development of Partnership’s digital engagement efforts including: external and internal websites, member portal, social media, and more. Supports Partnership programs and initiatives by developing material to inform and educate community partnerships. Develops and maintains media plans, strategies, and relationships to increase public awareness of Partnership programs. Develops and maintains reports to assess and analyze effectiveness of community relations efforts. Proactively coordinates with Partnership departments to ensure efficient implementation of communication strategies. Prepares presentations for community outreach to community agencies, natural partners, and governmental entities. Provides company-wide direction regarding Partnership Communications policies Ensures compliance with all state and CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) outreach, marketing, and sales regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (communications, journalism, business, English, etc.); master’s degree preferred; two to three (2-3) years of experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities, preferably including HMO, Medi-Cal, Medicaid, and/or Medicare experience. Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications Strong writing, editing, and design/layout skills; working knowledge of computers, as well as business- and design-related software; understanding of design and production of marketing materials; knowledge of principles and practices of health care service delivery, managed care, health care systems, and medical administration; appropriate outreach techniques to diverse community based social and ethnic groups and effective communication; existing relationships with community-based and Partnership-associated organizations; familiarity with California Medi-Cal program and/or Medicare program preferred. Performance Based Competencies Ability to work under limited supervision and exercise independent judgment. Work Environment And Physical Demands Ability to Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business. More than 15% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor; when required, must be able to move, lift, or carry objects of varying size, weighing up to 35lbs.; Little travel may be required.
