Essential Qualifications:
Electrical Foundation Electrical Schematics - Valves, Meters, Pressure Gauges Knowledge of Electrical Systems, Computer Control Systems, and Pneumatic/Hydraulic Controls Understanding of Boiler Systems Valid Driver's License What We Desire: We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring guests feel safe and cared for during their stay. Position Overview: The Commercial Laundry Maintenance Technician will service, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as laundry equipment, while promoting a safe and friendly environment. Responsibilities include the maintenance and cleaning of the laundry facility and its equipment. Key Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Promptly complete service calls as assigned, contacting laundry attendants within 5 minutes of request. Finish all assigned work orders on a daily basis. Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or observed. Conduct daily maintenance of boilers and pumps. Clean surrounding areas following maintenance tasks. Complete daily Engineering reports accurately. Regularly replace air filters on AC units. Perform preventive maintenance on laundry equipment as per standard checklist or as directed by the Director of Laundry; maintain records of all maintenance performed. Repair and maintain laundry carts. Skillfully operate small hand tools such as drills, grinders, and saws. Utilize necessary safety equipment like goggles, gloves, and respirators. Safely operate machinery such as drills, grinders, welding machines, and band saws. Continue learning and developing skills to keep equipment in excellent repair. Apply basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry knowledge to efficiently complete repairs. Accurately handle test equipment and hand tools. Drive laundry truck when necessary. Experience and Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent educational/work experience. A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Technician or in a similar skilled trade. Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills. Familiarity with hand and power tools, along with strong mechanical aptitude. Comprehensive understanding of pumps, electric motors, circuits, mechanical drive systems, and gas/steam operated systems. Must qualify for a company driving permit.
