About the Role:

The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our Consumer Support Services facility located in CE Battle Creek, 4404. This position ensures that all common areas, restrooms, and high-traffic zones are consistently cleaned and well-maintained throughout the day to support operational efficiency and enhance the experience of employees and visitors. The Day Porter will be responsible for promptly addressing any cleanliness or maintenance issues that arise, thereby contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with other facility staff. Ultimately, the Day Porter helps uphold the company's standards of hygiene and safety, which are essential for smooth daily operations and overall workplace satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter services preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions independently. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a consumer support or office environment. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to facility maintenance. Certification in workplace safety or custodial training programs. Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and report issues. Ability to operate basic cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers or buffers. Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas throughout the day. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of restrooms by restocking supplies, cleaning fixtures, and ensuring a hygienic environment. Respond promptly to spills, debris, or other hazards to ensure safety and prevent accidents. Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution. Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture or equipment for meetings or events as needed. Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used properly and stored safely after use. Collaborate with other facility team members to support overall building upkeep and operational needs.

Attention to detail is essential for identifying areas that require immediate attention and ensuring all spaces meet cleanliness standards.
