Associate/Area Clinical Consultant (Portland, OR) – Johnson & Johnson MedTech – Heart Recovery We are seeking an Associate or Area Clinical Consultant to support clients and patients in the Portland, OR region for Johnson & Johnson MedTech, focusing on heart recovery solutions.

Overview Johnson & Johnson is committed to health innovation across the full spectrum of healthcare solutions. The Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke. This role supports physicians, hospital staff, and patients by demonstrating the value and impact of the Impella product portfolio and by guiding appropriate use and training.

Responsibilities

Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction, including clinical demonstrations and ongoing training for new and existing accounts.

Collect clinically relevant data, complete outcome reviews with customers, and communicate activities with other team members and sales counterparts.

Acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of our products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications.

Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications; utilize Integrity Selling to influence care standards and drive usage of Impella devices.

Set up 1:1 physician meetings, and host physician and staff events with strong attendance and meaningful content.

Collaborate with the sales team on awareness programs and activities within the franchise.

Requirements

2+ years of direct RN/NP/PA or tech patient support in an ICU, Cath Lab, or OR.

2+ years of commercial experience related to products and technologies in the cardiovascular space (Area Clinical Consultant requirement).

Ability to advance the sales process with customers and work in a team environment.

Availability for emergent patient care and travel up to 50% within territory.

Experience delivering demonstrations and successful trainings.

Conduct duties in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.

Preferred

Hands-on Impella support experience.

RN license preferred; experience as an Abiomed per diem preferred.

ECMO experience and strong interpersonal skills with ability to advocate with physicians.
