Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales Engineer (Mobile Video - Body Worn Cameras). The role focuses on delivering customer-driven, end-to-end solutions for enterprise customers within North America. Job Description
The Presales Engineer is the architect and owner of the solution design. You will work closely with the Sales Team to deliver world-class, end-to-end solutions that meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include development, design, evaluation, and modification of system solutions and architecture to meet customer needs. This includes: Understanding customer requirements Equipment list generation Description of system design, including diagrams Calculation of power and networking requirements Participation in proposal reviews and contract negotiations Consultative guidance to customers and sales team; presentations to customers Coordinate with Systems Integration, Service, Sales, and Product Groups to address business unit goals in proposals and win strategies Development of the implementation approach and service plan necessary to win the project Meet/exceed customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met Manage to Motorola’s sales, revenue and margin goals Drive sole source and RFP proposal projects to completion, meeting project schedules Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is highly desired (Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering or Computer Science preferred) 2+ years of experience in sales, engineering, solutions architecture, or related field Strong general knowledge of Body Worn Cameras and License Plate Readers Strong written and oral communications skills; ability to present to technical and nontechnical audiences Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Willingness to think creatively and challenge the status quo Attention to detail and a results-driven mindset Travel: 25-50% (domestic only) Target Base Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000 USD Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in sales, engineering, or public safety OR 8+ years of experience in sales, engineering, or public safety Travel Requirements
25-50% Relocation Provided
