ORIX Corporation USA The position reports to the Chief Underwriter for GSE Seniors Housing and is responsible for reviewing, inspecting, and underwriting seniors housing agency loan applications, primarily for the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae seniors housing loan programs. The Director will make informed recommendations to the Chief Underwriter and provide guidance on agency loan assumptions as needed. The position will work closely with Lument’s originating bankers, credit analysts, the existing Director, and Senior Associate for GSE Seniors Housing. The job location is to be determined based on candidate assessment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares loan analyses and narratives consistent with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac requirements. Prepares and delivers Freddie Mac CME and Fannie Mae submissions. Summarizes historical property operations. Performs credit and financial analysis of key sponsors. Reviews and approves third party reports including property appraisals, physical needs assessments, environmental reports, seniors housing liability assessments & regulatory compliance, and zoning reports. Conducts property inspections and market evaluations (considerable travel). When requested by the CU, reviews loan screening packages from producers to ensure transaction terms align with Lument, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac requirements. Keeps up with industry trends and products offered by competitors. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Mentors junior underwriters and underwriting analysts. Underwrites more complex and nuanced transactions. Collaborates with the team and delegates tasks to Underwriting Analysts as appropriate. Travel required – 25%. Frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. May interact with outside business partners, clients, vendors, consultants, and other visitors. Education, Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related fields from an accredited college/university. Results-driven with planning and organizational skills, and high attention to detail. Resourceful team player who builds trusting relationships with clients and colleagues. Proficiency inMicrosoft Office and other relevant systems or software. Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in daily activities. Ability to learn quickly and work independently and as part of a high-performance team. Required

Minimum 10 years of experience in multifamily agency underwriting. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents and financial statements. High analytical thinking with talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex processes. Preferred

Preferably 2-3 years of recent experience with Freddie Mac CME underwriting submissions and Fannie Mae underwriting submissions. Working knowledge of Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac CME multifamily/seniors housing loan programs and underwriting requirements. Ability to interact with internal and external customers, including loan analysts, senior management, borrowers, and vendors. Flexibility to work under pressure with tight deadlines and changing priorities. Annual base salary gross: $180,000 - $230,000 (NY and CA only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary based on qualifications, skills, and proficiency.
