Senior Software Engineer at Onto Innovation. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team focused on developing both frontend and backend solutions for Onto Innovation’s optical metrology and inspection systems. The role involves creating software around machine control, machine learning, image processing, and high-performance computing. Key Responsibilities
Participate in all stages of software development, including planning, requirements analysis, documentation, design, coding, and quality. Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, executives, engineers, and project and product managers. Help troubleshoot and resolve issues. Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies. Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Track record of high productivity and shipping quality software. Proficiency with at least two mainstream programming languages like Python, C++, C#, or JavaScript. Must be capable of quickly learning large code bases and adding new features without increasing the entropy of the system. Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Willingness to take on new challenges, being open to new ideas, and having a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to work independently. Willingness to engage in occasional international travel. Strong desire to work in the semiconductor industry. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with machine learning, image processing, CUDA, or hardware control. Experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field. Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban software development methodologies. Compensation & Benefits
