The Role
The Veeva PLM team is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer
to design and build our next-gen infrastructure on AWS. Lead the migration of our platform and create a new, scalable environment from scratch. You will have complete ownership over tooling and the CI/CD pipeline in a startup-like setting. This is a hands-on, self-starter role that balances performance, cost, and reliability. What You’ll Do
Lead the architectural vision.
Provide deep expertise in cloud architecture, design patterns, and modern programming to build a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure. Drive DevOps best practices.
Implement a robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy using Terraform and Ansible to manage, deploy, and scale infrastructure. Build the CI/CD pipeline.
Design and manage end-to-end CI/CD workflows, automating processes to make development lifecycle across Development, QA, Stage and production deployments more efficient. Ensure platform reliability.
Focus on durability, availability, performance, and correctness to minimize risk of failures. Shape the future of our stack.
Recommend and implement architectural enhancements, security policies, and new methodologies that define operations. Requirements
Experienced DevOps Professional:
At least 5 years in a DevOps role with a focus on automation, tooling, and building distributed, scalable systems. AWS Expertise:
Design and implement deployment architectures within AWS (VPC, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, etc.). Containerization & Orchestration:
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Proficient with Terraform or Ansible. CI/CD & Git:
Expertise in GitLab and experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD). Monitoring & Observability:
Understanding of monitoring frameworks; Grafana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch are a plus. Location:
This role requires in PST or MST time zone. Work authorization:

Base pay: $150,000 - $300,000 The salary range is provided to comply with local regulations and may vary by experience and location.
