The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute is looking for a team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our Boise Neurology Clinic. Position Details

This Medical Assistant position will support a busy Neurologist in a busy and friendly work environment. As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. Neurologic conditions treated include: Stroke, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), Movement disorders (including Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors), Neuromuscular dysfunction, Migraine, Multiple sclerosis, Memory conditions (including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease). We also work in tandem with our neurosurgical team as well as supporting our neuro-ophthalmologist who is the only one in the state of Idaho. What Will You Do

Room patients, conduct patient intakes, take vitals, assist with skin biopsies, draw up and give injections, and set up for minor procedures. Perform prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and imaging; complete chart prep; follow up on imaging orders; and other tasks as needed. Work in a positive team environment alongside other MAs, RNs, and front office staff. Maintain reliability, proactivity, and a eagerness to learn; show interest in the neuroscience field and enjoy being challenged. Provide attentive and compassionate patient care with strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills; comfortable working with patients of all ages and in both independent and team settings. Work Schedule

40 hours per week, Mondays – Fridays, around the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm. Shift start and end times may vary based on provider and clinic needs. Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) New Graduates: MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school; completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours. Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year MA experience or current MA Certification or obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network is required at hire. Highlights and Benefits
