Store Manager - 3483 at GameStop. The Store Manager is responsible for all facets of store operations and directly influences the performance of everyone who interacts with guests. The role develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest, provides outstanding guest service experiences, and supports the overall store environment to meet or exceed sales and profit goals. Responsibilities

Manage and lead in a multiunit capacity. Provide and model best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, apply selling behaviors, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using POS system; handle transactions with correct change and receipts while delivering top-notch guest service. Address guest comments or questions in person or by phone; respond promptly and professionally. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards loyalty). Recruit, interview, hire, develop, and retain high-performing associates; ensure onboarding and ongoing training, including store policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethics. Communicate with store staff and District Manager to implement store initiatives; set guest service expectations and train associates in responsibilities and guidelines. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, Retail Keyholders, and Assistant Store Managers. Schedule staff to follow guidelines, maintain breaks, and ensure optimum guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify compensation. Provide recognition and feedback; document performance in the HR system. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment function properly. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Perform store inventories, stock shelves, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages only as appropriate at closing or shift end. Lead the team in meeting/exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; prepare closeout paperwork and bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and communicate discrepancies to District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes and packing lists accurately. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain organized store records/files and up-to-date manuals. Form professional partnerships as applicable to base locations (military base stores). Adhere to all policies and procedures, including Employee Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years of retail sales/guest service/management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills & Abilities

Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills; provide individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal/written communication and listening skills; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team leader; meet leadership performance expectations; operate POS system; basic math and sorting skills. Ability to complete required paperwork; follow instructions; execute financial tasks per policy. Capable of working 40 hours per week with flexibility for extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime. Manage pressure, be creative and a problem solver; reliable and trustworthy; able to work alone; stand/move for long periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform basic physical tasks.
