Tatte Bakery & Cafe . Summary: The Assistant General Manager will work with a passionate Front of House team on openings, mid or closing shifts focused on the guest experience. In the absence of the GM, the AGM will assume all GM responsibilities and lead the team to exceed guest expectations with authentic, warm service while upholding Tatte standards. Responsibilities
Supports the GM in ownership of the business and ensures day-to-day operations run smoothly Models authentic, warm guest experience and instills excellent service in the team Identifies and supports recruiting, hiring, and training of new talent to ensure outstanding guest service Demonstrates people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop managers and hourly team members Leads and navigates difficult conversations effectively Upholds Tatte brand and visual standards Leads team members through effective and efficient operational execution Ensures food safety in the café Supports the GM in café-level change management to communicate new product, service, and operational information Contributes to controlling food and labor costs within company guardrails Supports the GM with café administrative requirements Other duties as assigned Working Conditions / Essential Functions
Flexible schedule based on business needs (including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies) Ability to work ten hour-plus shifts; able to stand, walk, read, and navigate stairs for extended periods Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds Position Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience as a manager, preferably in a high-volume full-service or polished fast casual restaurant Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail High integrity and professionalism High school education or equivalent Preferred Skills
Hospitality Education: B.S. in Hospitality Management or A.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with UltiPro, Toast POS, CrunchTime/TeamworX ServSafe, Allergen and ChokeSaver Certifications Our Benefits And Perks
