KPMG is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Director to join our Chief Procurement Officer of the Americas to plan and develop activities for the Americas region.

Responsibilities

Facilitate partnership across the Americas region by promoting open communication and sharing best practices; use data and market intelligence to anticipate trends and strengthen sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives; work with Global Sourcing to pursue global opportunities

Collaborate with US category leaders and regional category teams to identify and leverage sourcing opportunities across the Americas Region while ensuring stringent adherence to regulatory and corporate standards through proactive third-party risk management

Perform comprehensive spend analyses for all commodities to identify and determine sourcing opportunities that enhance value and operational efficiency in the Americas Region, and if feasible, internationally

Develop and present strategic recommendations supported by comprehensive cost-benefit analyses, considering tax regulations and import/export policies specific to each country; obtain support from country leadership for impactful sourcing initiatives; work with country teams to deliver strategic projects, manage risks, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier relationships

Drive operational excellence and cost-reduction strategies while upholding superior quality and service standards; cultivate strong country category leads relationships, supplier partnerships and establish performance metrics to foster continuous improvement

Embed sustainability into procurement practices to champion environmental responsibility and social governance; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations through proactive risk identification and mitigation strategies

Qualifications

Minimum ten years of recent procurement experience; minimum five years of recent experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management leadership

Master's degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline is required

Background in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; capability of working in complex environments and implementing change; previous experience in a regional or global capacity is preferred

Proven skills in strategic sourcing, supplier and procurement management, project leadership, relationship development, and financial analysis; demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership

Proficiency with procurement technologies and software is required; fluency in Spanish is highly advantageous for effective engagement with suppliers and stakeholders throughout the LATAM region
