Overview

Geosyntec Consultants, an earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Mid-Career Environmental Remediation Engineer to join our Environmental Practice in Seattle, Bellingham, Wenatchee, Yakima, or Bainbridge Island, WA offices. This role focuses on environmental investigations and remediation projects with opportunities for mentorship, growth, and expanding responsibilities. Our Environmental Practice tackles challenges on a variety of complex environmental projects throughout the Pacific Northwest including environmental site assessments, remedial investigations/feasibility studies, property cleanup and urban redevelopments, remedial design engineering, cost recovery/allocation/mediation support, and landfill system monitoring and optimization. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of geologists, environmental engineers, and scientists to apply environmental consulting strategies and solutions for clients, who include attorneys, landowners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors. This is envisioned as a long-term, career-track position with growth toward developing your own practice through project delivery and client development. Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and partners to plan and execute work on environmental investigation and remediation projects Perform task, project, and client management under the guidance of senior technical experts Manage project teams including junior staff, writing/editing staff, technical subject matter experts, and subcontractors Conduct project scoping, budgeting, and manage project budget and schedule Apply technical expertise to environmental problem solving to meet client needs and project objectives Complete technical data evaluation and write reports Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or project sites and other locations as needed Education and Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related engineering discipline (required) Master’s degree in environmental engineering or related discipline (preferred) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required) or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications

At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required) Relevant coursework or experience in contaminant fate and transport Knowledge of state and federal cleanup laws, regulations, and guidance Strong quantitative and analytical skills Clear and professional writing and verbal communication skills Excellent client management skills Ability to work on teams and interface with clients, attorneys, and regulators to execute projects Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required) Compensation and Benefits

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Compensation ranges are provided in good faith for the specified locations at the time of posting. Base salary is one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package and will be determined by education, experience, skill set, and location. Minimum Salary: $85,340/year / Maximum Salary: $110,940/year (Wenatchee, Yakima) Minimum Salary: $89,605/year / Maximum Salary: $116,485/year (Bellingham) Minimum Salary: $93,875/year / Maximum Salary: $122,040/year (Bainbridge Island, Seattle) Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, paid time off, and other eligible benefits.
