We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join the AI Security team at Amazon. This role focuses on building security tooling and paved path solutions to ensure Generative AI-based experiences uphold high security standards and to develop foundational services that make security mechanisms more effective and efficient. You will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, documentation, testing and operations at Amazon scale. You will partner with applied scientists, security engineers, and software engineers to create innovative technologies and pave paths that support builder teams across Amazon throughout their software development journey, accelerating innovation for Amazon businesses. Contribute to the full software development lifecycle: ideation, design, development, documentation, testing, and operations of state-of-the-art solutions at Amazon scale. Collaborate with applied scientists, security engineers, and software engineers to build security tooling and paved path solutions for Generative AI security needs. Build paved path solutions that support builder teams across Amazon during their software development journey, enabling faster and safer innovation. Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Equal Opportunity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company; depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
