in Jacksonville, Florida. The Department of Neurology at Mayo Clinic is seeking a Comprehensive/General Neurologist to join our practice. The department is looking for a physician who is board certified or board eligible in Neurology. The physician will provide medical care in the outpatient setting, with ambulatory evaluation and management of diverse patients with neurological presentations or symptoms that are not designated to a specific subspecialty practice. Subspecialty support is available for those patients who ultimately are diagnosed with a subspecialty-specific condition.
Responsibilities The Department currently comprises 37 Neurologists with fellowship-trained expertise in cerebrovascular disease, behavioral neurology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and autoimmune neurology, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine, autonomic disorders, headache, neuro-ophthalmology, palliative care, critical care, and neuro-oncology. The physician will work to provide outpatient care and contribute to the clinical educational mission of the Department. The environment provides opportunities for clinical and translational research that are enhanced by collaborations across Mayo Clinic sites. The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the clinical practice and research team.
Qualifications
Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
Eligible for Florida Medical Licensure.
Strong clinical skills and interpersonal abilities; ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Additional consideration given for previous education and research experience.
