Senior Global Category Manager, Amazon Custom Modules

Base pay range: $133,200.00/yr - $220,200.00/yr AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain professionals, security experts, and operations managers, and you’ll collaborate across AWS to maintain safety, security, and scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. AWS ISCaP (Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement) delivers solutions to source, build and maintain socially responsible data center supply chains. We are a team of professionals who enable the core sustainable infrastructure of AWS. We seek a candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure. This role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second-source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency for AI/ML products added to our roadmap. It will manage additional supply chain complexity during qualification of suppliers and manufacturing lines when transitioning from development to mass production. The role will deliver multi-sourcing strategies, pricing, and enable contract manufacturing to ensure supply chain resiliency for our expanding AI/ML roadmap. It will lead line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development so that manufacturing capacity scales at launch. Key job responsibilities Develop and implement Power/Mechanical/Thermal sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure. Understand industry and technology trends. Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives in those products. Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders. Develop negotiations strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers. Provide weekly core-team updates, deliver executive-level updates monthly, and manage vendor escalations to resolve issues related to the category. Present to senior leadership via written narratives. Basic Qualifications 6+ years of experience responding to requests for proposals (requirements gathering, technical approach, solutions, and development) and 6+ years of global category management experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent.
