Position : Product Development Technician – Entry Level (Exp in a Lab Environment) – Technician Role Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 12 Months contract Total Hours/week : 40.00 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Level Of Experience: Entry Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Or OPT EAD) Note: This is a technician role and the goal is to have people who are experienced in the lab using lab type equipment, not engineers. Responsibilities
We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our San Diego, CA facility. This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope. Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit. Provides completion of technical tasks. Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documents, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics). Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis. Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications. Works with team to organize lab functions; including calibration. Notifies manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project. Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups. Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing. Effectively documents and communicates test results. Supports hardware debugging. Requirements
Minimum Requirement
A combination of equivalent education and experience or a minimum of training beyond high school in a technical discipline with more than 2 years relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications And Experience
Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures. The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group is critical. Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Proficiency in personal computers. Ability to train lower-level technicians.
