FY26 Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Real Estate- Manager Location: Anywhere in Country

EY serves high-profile, national and multinational clients, providing tax accounting and risk advisory services. The Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice assists companies with all aspects of their financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. The TARAS practice supports complex and global tax reporting needs.

Overview We are seeking a Seasonal Manager to provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning for Real Estate clients, including internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions (US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP), share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts. This role also involves assisting companies with all aspects of tax provision preparation and opportunities to review the tax provision process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the control environment, including tax risk assessment (within and beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404).

Responsibilities

Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning for internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP/IFRS conversions, share-based compensation, restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts.

Assist companies with all aspects of tax provision preparation.

Review tax provision processes to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment.

Assess tax risk and control environments including considerations beyond SOX 404.

Engage in real estate tax accounting projects and related consulting; experience in real estate is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; significant tax or legal experience required. MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.

Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.

Minimum 5 years of experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.

Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.

Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal abilities, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Strong ASC 740, Real Estate, and/or IAS 12 experience.

Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; broader exposure to federal income taxation in business or industry.

The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90/hr to $120/hr. Salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
