Work directly with Partners/Principals in PTG and other national subject matter professionals, and team with and mentor staff at various levels to advise internal and external clients. Design and execute complex, large-scale partnership and real estate transactions with large clients, manage due diligence for acquisitions of partnership and REIT targets, and analyze and memorialize significant tax considerations in memoranda and opinions. Engage in representative transactions including corporate and cross-border joint ventures, IPOs (including REITs, SPAC and Up-C transactions), private-equity transactions, internal restructurings, and transactions across industries such as pharma and biotech, sports and entertainment, asset management, private equity, hedge funds, renewable energy, real estate, oil & gas, and public-private infrastructure. Develop a deep understanding of partnership and real estate tax, modeling, and joint venture structuring; collaborate on limited on-call consulting opportunities, write Tax Alerts and Developments, teach courses, and participate in external presentations. Identifying, researching and analyzing complex partnership and real estate tax issues Managing all stages of a transaction, including due diligence, structuring, and evaluating alternative structures; assisting the modeling team with target exposures, tax consequences, and future cash flow, IRR, and allocations Preparing structure reports and drafting substantive emails, memoranda, and opinions Providing high-quality, time-sensitive service that meets or exceeds client expectations Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals; reviewing work to ensure knowledge, tools and opportunities for growth To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s degree CPA certification or membership in The Bar Minimum of 4-6 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization Strong analytical and technical writing skills Broad exposure to federal income taxation; experience in partnership and/or real estate taxation is a plus but not required Significant transactional experience Flexibility and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ideally, you’ll also have
Willingness and ability to learn and work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines What We Offer You
