Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the Executive Team, partnering with the CEO, leadership, and Board committees to provide strategic and financial leadership. The CFO oversees all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and reporting across Goodwill’s operations and subsidiaries.
This role is responsible for long-term financial strategy, cash management, and risk management, while ensuring ethical and effective financial practices. The CFO also provides financial analysis for business operations, contracts, real estate, and benefits plans, and plays a central role in guiding organizational growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO and Executive Team on strategy, financial planning, and performance against goals.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, ensuring long-term financial stability.
Oversee audits, tax filings (Form 990), retirement plans, insurance, contracts, and procurement.
Serve as liaison to the Board’s Finance, Audit, Investment, and Real Estate Committees
Maintain strong relationships with banks, negotiate financing, and manage capitalization strategy.
Provide financial insights to optimize retail, contract, and donated-goods operatives.
Support real estate and capital investment decisions with financial analysis.
Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
10+ years of senior financial management experience, including staff leadership.
Strong background in financial strategy, forecasting, and multi-unit operations.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar accounting systems preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
Successful completion of state and federal background checks required.
