Overview
Cloud Center of Excellence Lead. The Cloud CoE Lead is responsible for ADM’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), governing ADM’s cloud strategy, governance, and decision-making processes. The CoE fosters development of new cloud services and capabilities for ADM to consume. All major decisions and project activities related to cloud roll up to the Cloud CoE at ADM. The CoE pursues imperatives in Cloud Financials Management and Optimization, Cloud Security, Cloud Automation, and Innovation, and drives major decisions in areas such as multi-cloud. The lead must understand financials management deeply and drive increased value and lower costs from ADM’s cloud investments. They will understand and drive the Cloud Strategy for ADM overall. This is a director-level position and requires proficiency in technology consultation, communication, and relationship building, establishing themselves as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership. Job Responsibilities Lead Cloud CoE, comprising core Governance and Strategy functions, as well as tactical functions for cloud capability development and operations Be accountable for the overall strategy and performance of Cloud CoE Represent the Cloud CoE to Global Technology Collaborate with Procurement to manage vendor relationships Accountable for cloud talent strategy and management Accountable for ensuring cloud financials are managed per SteerCo direction Lead executive discussions on SaaS vendor governance and strategy Drive FinOps strategy and function Drive Cloud Security Strategy Drive Cloud Automation and DevOps Strategy Drive Multi-Cloud Strategy Work with the Cloud Service Portfolio Lead to ensure new cloud services are developed and operated efficiently Reports to Enterprise Architecture Tech Arch lead Responsible for defining cross-functional priorities and imperatives of the Cloud CoE to be enforced in new cloud services (e.g., security, financial performance, reporting, monitoring) Understand customer demand and expectations from stakeholders and appropriately plan for service development and delivery Understand business strategy and priorities and work with Global Technology groups to align cloud strategy Maintain knowledge of industry trends and educate IT and business on opportunities to build better target architectures Oversee development of cross-functional technical services, including DevOps pipelines, test automation, infrastructure as code, digital-self-service Support vendor reviews, including vetting Application and Integration and SaaS vendors Maintain knowledge of industry trends to support and drive business decisions Support IT Enterprise governance functions (RFI’s, vendor risk assessments, etc.) Job Requirements 15+ years of IT experience Involvement in multiple end-to-end enterprise solution programs 5+ years’ experience in cloud technologies and/or governance, preferably Microsoft Azure 3+ years involved in enterprise cloud strategy 3+ years’ experience involved in enterprise cloud leadership and governance 2+ years’ experience in Cloud FinOps Experience in writing and defending business cases Experience in governing vendors, especially cloud service vendors Strong knowledge of cloud security technologies and strategies Ability to articulate the value propositions of cloud implementations Ability to articulate the risks and challenges of cloud implementations Ability to conceptualize complex ideas into technology strategies Ability to translate and map organizational needs to existing enterprise capabilities. Define and drive technology roadmaps to address capability gaps Track emerging and innovative technologies and drive architectural principles and standards Deep understanding of cloud foundations including security, network, and application capabilities Solid grasp of IT governance and controls Solid grasp of IT solution development practices Solid grasp of modern cloud-related technologies and trends including DevOps, Observability, Cloud Automation, and Infrastructure as Code Strong interpersonal collaboration skills and ability to work across technology domains Excellent verbal skills and ability to communicate with c-suite level executives Note: ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
