Solve complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions Exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources Impact client, operational, project or service activities within own team and related teams Identify and implement process improvements Work within broad guidelines and policies Independently manage client relationships of varying complexity, including evaluating/responding to inquiries, determining service requirements, providing training, producing client reporting, and helping clients interpret financial metrics Regularly interface with senior staff at Northern Trust and client offices (e.g., CIOs, Treasurers, Directors of Investments) with minimal oversight Provide leadership to internal IRAS, operations, and client servicing partners to problem solve client issues and requests Provide data quality oversight, assist with prioritization of work, and mentor less tenured team members Lead client projects and provide solutions to client requests Assist management with strategic projects and initiatives Knowledge

In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own discipline; basic knowledge of related disciplines Apply best practices and understand how own area integrates with others; aware of competition and differentiators in the market Explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus Coordinate with other Northern Trust teams to solve cross-practice problems and provide leadership Use judgment to make decisions without requiring approval Experience

Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements Provide formal and informal guidance to less tenured team members Accountable for own contributions Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in business, finance, technology or related field) 3+ years’ investment analysis or trust-investment related background, investments operations, client-servicing, or related experience Interest in or progress towards CFA, CIPM, CAIA or other investments-related designation is a plus Prior client-servicing or sales experience required Good business judgment to assess situations and proactively develop solutions for complex client needs Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred Exposure to Northern Trust or third-party financial software is a plus Effective organizational, written, and verbal client servicing skills; strong time management and multi-tasking Salary Range

$74,200 - 126,200 USD Salary range is a good-faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life and accident insurance, and other voluntary benefits.
