News Partner Manager, Global Partnerships responsible for developing and managing relationships with national and independent news organizations, identifying commercial opportunities, and collaborating with Google teams to grow partner-driven initiatives. Responsibilities
Own the relationships with assigned national and independent news organizations, focusing on identifying and driving opportunities to grow their audience and business through Google's product areas. Collaborate closely with Google teams (YouTube, Play, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, Product) to rollout projects and initiatives and advocate for partner needs. Manage all aspects of agreement development—from identifying opportunities within your partnership portfolio to negotiations, contracting, and ongoing operational support. Gather US market and industry insights to enhance understanding of partners, the market, and product areas you specialize in. Qualifications
Qualifications minimal: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking. Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management. Experience managing agreements or partnerships. Qualifications desired: Experience with sales, partnerships, or business development. Experience leading strategic partners and operational projects. Exposure to the technology or news media sector. Ability to clarify and communicate complex issues for an executive audience internally and externally. Ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems and scale effectively across a large/highly distributed organization while demonstrating strong communication, people management, and presentation skills.
