Title: Interventional Cardiologist – Structural Heart Location: Touro Hospital, New Orleans, LA Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed Specialty: Interventional Cardiology with Structural Heart Expertise Key Responsibilities
Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and coronary diagnostics Interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and angiograms Collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart team, including cardiac surgery, imaging, and advanced heart failure Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiac care and consultations Participate in STEMI call (1:3 coverage) and ensure rapid response for emergent cases Maintain thorough documentation and uphold clinical quality standards (Preferred but not required) Participate in structural heart interventions, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, TEER, Watchman and other emerging therapies Qualifications
MD or DO degree; completion of U.S.-based internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology, including Structural Heart procedures Board Certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Eligible for unrestricted Louisiana medical license American Heart Association, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification Demonstrated procedural proficiency and strong clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient engagement abilities Compensation & Benefits
