Weston Hospital's Interventional Cardiology Department provides intra-operative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs. Caregivers in this department care for patients during structural heart procedures, including but not limited to valve repair and transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR). As an LPN for Cardiovascular Medicine, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for patient outreach prior to cardiology procedures, including providing reminders about dietary restrictions and medication adjustments, as well as managing pre-operative and post-operative patient calls. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care to patients. Administer medication. Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files. Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions. Implement pain management assessments and documentation. Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO. Follow Code Blue protocol. Minimum qualifications
Graduate of Accredited LPN program Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Knowledge of Infection Control Practices Internal medicine background in a clinic-setting Preferred qualifications
One to two years of clinical experience Experience in Cardiology Pay Range
