Job Summary In the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, the ALBA Language Neurobiology laboratory is directed by Dr. Maria Luisa Gorno Tempini and the Tee Lab is led by Dr. Boon Lead Tee. The ALBA lab studies how language is organized into brain networks across the lifespan. The Tee Lab focuses on scientific research promoting diversity in cognitive and dementia research, collaborating with scientists from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, India, and Turkey. This position is a joint role between the ALBA and Tee labs. Under supervision, the incumbent will support clinical studies involving participants with language difficulties, including tasks such as recruiting, scheduling, data collection, and entry, and assisting with data analysis and reporting. The salary range is $34.32 - $55.19 per hour. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, native proficiency in Cantonese and English, and preferably additional language skills. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and multitask. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, bilingual medical interpreter certification, experience with patients, and familiarity with research protocols and data management software.
