The hiring process for this position is part of the Department of Health’s Hiring Innovation for Rapid Employment (HIRE) Pilot Project. The Pilot Project will defer the traditional screening of applications for minimum qualifications until after a selection has been made. $6,536 - $15,639 per month

These positions perform professional services in the field of clinical psychology, such as psychotherapy and consultation; and may include work in prevention, education, training and/or research. Some positions may provide professional consultation as a recognized expert to guide and facilitate professional work performed by clinical psychologists; or serve as a mental health consultant to program administrators; and perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements

Education/General Experience Requirement: Applicants must possess the requirements specified in either A, B, C, D, or E below: Successful completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree from an accredited college in clinical psychology which included an internship in clinical psychology. In lieu of the internship, one year of professional work experience in the field of clinical psychology may be substituted. Successful completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree from an accredited college in a specialty related to clinical psychology with internship in clinical psychology or post-doctoral clinical internship. In lieu of the internship, one year of post-doctoral clinical psychology experience under competent professional supervision may be substituted. Holds a doctoral degree from an APA-approved training program, OR holds a doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution and meets experiential requirements for inclusion in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Holds a diplomate certificate in good standing granted by the American Board of Examiners in Professional Psychology. A valid license to practice psychology in the State of Hawaii. Experience: Some positions require professional post-doctoral work experience in clinical psychology and may require experience in a specialized field. License: Within two years from appointment, hires must meet licensure requirements and obtain a license issued by the Hawaii State Board of Psychology.
