The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City Health + Hospitals – Queens is seeking a Chief of Anesthesiology. The affiliation with Queens serves culturally diverse communities in Queens, New York, and seeks a physician leader to join our team at Queens as the Chief of Anesthesiology. Queens Hospital was recognized for research efforts in enrolling patients in a diverse community, and we welcome candidates who are interested in being an investigator in clinical trials where you will have the full support of our knowledgeable research staff for regulatory and clinical needs. New York City Health + Hospitals/Queens and Elmhurst are acute care facilities and part of the largest municipal healthcare system in the country. They are modern medical centers with Centers of Excellence in Women’s Health, Cancer Care, Diabetes Care, and Behavioral Health, serving a diverse population with a wide spectrum of medical conditions. State-of-the-art facilities include multiple DaVinci surgical robots and numerous PAs/NPs and residents; Elmhurst is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Responsibilities

Responsible for the administration, planning, organizing and overall general management of the Anesthesia department. Provide services to patients of all ages, with possible multiple diseases, trauma, pregnancy or other complications. Qualifications

MD or DO degree Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills Prior management/leadership positions and experience with academic medical centers and/or public health systems are preferred We also offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Compensation : Salary ranges from 469K to 481K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits). Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
