Overview Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Program Officer to support KPS and our government customer in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities The Senior Program Officer will play a crucial role in planning and implementing exchange programs in coordination with regional bureaus, offices, agencies, and posts. This position will provide high-level support to executive operatives, reviewing and advising on budgets, grants, travel arrangements, training, information system support, and domestic representation. The Senior Program Officer will confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables in collaboration with supervisors and stakeholders, ensuring effective program administration, oversight, and monitoring.
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Public Administration, or a related discipline is preferred but not required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration, operations, or a related field
Significant familiarity or direct experience working on Department of State or similar diplomatic programs
Experience with U.S. government and State Department administrative policies and procedures
Required Skills And Competencies
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software and database applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent teamwork and relationship-building skills
Ability to interact with diverse cultures in a sensitive manner
Familiarity with program administration, oversight, and monitoring procedures
Desired Skills And Competencies
Foreign language skills
Direct experience in relevant program fields (e.g., exchange programs, diplomacy, international relations)
Knowledge of database systems and information system support
