Overview
Physician (Family Medicine) Fort Riley, KS. This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for candidates who are new to Federal service. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment. Responsibilities
Operate within the policies and regulations of the hospital, facilitate patient access to medical care and referrals to other health care providers. Provide direct patient care to patients within a Medical Treatment Facility. Render consultative opinions to other physicians and auxiliary health care personnel. Supervise health care offered by non-physicians. Maintain health and clinical records in accordance with current regulations and standards. Determine when to seek advice and guidance. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Who May Apply: US Citizens Degree:
Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must be accredited by the appropriate medical accreditation bodies. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must have demonstrated education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States (e.g., ECFMG certification or equivalent). Licensure:
Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Graduate Training:
At least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting after obtaining the MD/DO degree (internship or first year of residency) in an accredited program. Residency Training:
Applicants must have completed the required accredited residency training in Family Medicine or equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years. Experience may not substitute for residency training. Employment Details
