About The Job The Department of Pediatrics and The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible pediatric hepatologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The candidate will join six full-time faculty and two nurse practitioners in a thriving academic practice covering pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, serving patients with diverse conditions.
The Successful Candidate Will
Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Engage in research projects and scholarly activities aligned with their career interests
Contribute to service activities for the department, medical school, and profession
Qualifications Essential Qualifications:
Board-certified or eligible pediatric hepatologist with advanced training in hepatology and clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology
About The Department The Division plays a leading role in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the longest-standing pediatric liver transplant programs in the U.S. It is also home to a nationally recognized program in pediatric pancreatology, total pancreatectomy, and pancreatic islet autotransplantation. The division is involved in clinical research in gastrointestinal diseases, cystic fibrosis, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcopenia, and autoimmune hepatitis, participating in the University’s Rare Disease program.
Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $199,000+, depending on qualifications and experience.
Time Appointment: 75%-100%
Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
