Overview
The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Pediatric Neurologist/Epileptologist. Candidates must be eligible or certified by the ABPN with Special Qualification in Child Neurology and eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina. Responsibilities
Provide the full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical services in pediatric neurology at MUSC Children’s Hospital. Collaborate with a division currently comprising seven faculty members and four Advanced Practice Providers. Contribute to MUSC’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, designated as a Level IV epilepsy center, and participate in multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment services for patients from infancy to young adulthood; adult patients are cared for at MUSC Hospital. Engage with Neurophysiology Lab services including EEG, EMG, Intraoperative Monitoring, and intracranial/extracranial vascular imaging, in conjunction with the Level IV Epilepsy Center. Leverage additional specialty services such as speech language pathology and neuropsychology as part of comprehensive patient care. Qualifications
MD or equivalent (M.D. or equivalent) required. ABPN with Special Qualification in Child Neurology or eligible/certified by ABPN. Eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina. About MUSC and the Program
