Job Summary: Responsible for the administration of anesthesia. Administers anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Develops and conducts pre-anesthetic plan for the patient as well as writes orders before, during, and after procedures appropriately. Works with and collaborates with providers caring for the patient. Communicates with patients, family members and others on the health care team. Evaluates and orders diagnostic tests as needed. Monitors patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, using current techniques to adjust appropriately with the anesthesia plan. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations. Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia or sedation to patients during a variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures. Develop and conduct pre-anesthetic plans and write orders before, during, and after procedures as appropriate. Collaborate with providers caring for the patient and communicate with patients, family members, and the health care team. Evaluate and order diagnostic tests as needed. Monitor patients, including hemodynamic status, and adjust the anesthesia plan accordingly. Work with the growth and development needs of all client populations. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree required from an approved and accredited educational program in the advanced practice area. Master’s degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) preferred. Current unencumbered licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by the position. CRNA certification required and maintained through the NBCRNA. Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Benefits
