Overview
Clinical Therapist, Psychiatry (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) - Richardson Location at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The MSOC clinic seeks a team-oriented clinical therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to join a diverse multidisciplinary therapy team and contribute to a patient-centered care model at the Richardson/Plano satellite campus.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive mental health intake evaluations documenting relevant personal and medical history, primary symptoms, and presumptive diagnoses. Use evaluations to make appropriate treatment recommendations; ensure documentation is timely and complete to inform other providers in the clinic.
Offer individual and/or group psychotherapy interventions that are evidence-based when possible, time-limited as appropriate, and tailored to patient needs. Maintain documentation that supports billing compliance.
Provide referrals and coordinate services to meet patient needs; initiate and monitor care transitions as needed.
Collaborate with clinic leadership to identify, develop, and implement workflows and programs that enhance utilization of clinic services and patient-centered care.
Provide independent evaluation, diagnostic clarity, and psychotherapy for complex and time-sensitive cases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
Experience: At least 3 years of face-to-face patient experience.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in Texas (as applicable at hire).
