Head of Quality Verification, American Football
Role Overview: As Head of Quality Verification (QV) for EA SPORTS American Football (AFB)—reporting to the Head of QV, EA SPORTS—you will lead QV teams and partner with executives, delivery leads, and creative leaders to meet and exceed player expectations through rigorous, player-centric standards. You own the end-to-end Experiential Quality bar for AFB and ensure Delivery Leadership meets software quality and schedule commitments across PC, console, mobile, and new platforms. Together with production, delivery, and creative leaders, we set the quality bar and measure what matters so players feel the difference every release.
Responsibilities
Support strategic planning and execution for new and existing AF experiences, and ensure your teams own the quality measurement loop—set the bar, verify functionality and player-experience outcomes, and deliver concise, actionable feedback to development.
Work closely with Product Management and QV teams to translate player experience and growth business goals into actionable insights, ensuring their seamless integration into the development process.
Collaborate with the Delivery Lead to define scope, schedule, and budget, set clear delivery standards, and drive on-time, on-budget outcomes on AFB experiences.
Align initiatives with Partnerships and QVS, ensuring consistency with product and business goals across the AF ecosystem.
Own the AFB QV ML/AI portfolio and adoption policy to enhance player experiences and test environments, establishing clear measurements to monitor impact and iterate.
Set a rigorous, player-centric approach using research, player sentiment, and data with QV teams to support the development team’s creative decisions.
Collaborate with Partnership teams and contribute to the broader QVS organization to align initiatives with business and product goals.
Demonstrate passion for solving complex, dynamic problems and excel at cross-department collaboration with global peers and partners; build relationships and deliver projects with clear outcomes.
Share a commitment to raising the bar for football quality and delivering experiences players love, season after season.
Qualifications
10+ years of game product management, accountable for franchise/portfolio outcomes with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Owned and delivered game projects of large-scale complexity.
Deep understanding of product development, design practices and core aspects of Quality Verification.
Proven budget/headcount stewardship; ability to build leaders and set department-wide standards and governance.
Influence-oriented; excels at collaborating with other leaders to guide optimal decisions and outcomes.
Strong track record of influencing executive partners and leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable impact.
Passionate about American Pro Football.
